The Big Release Day!!!
You may have heard from the Project Leader of AZFS that on Saturday, January 31st, we have agreed to combine our releases into one DCTP-like day of fun and excitement…. and lots of leeching. Well, here is Kienai’s side of it. 421,422 and 441. All in the quality and size that you expect from high quality subbers.
Torrents/DDL for all 3 episodes will be released after they finish airing on DCTV @ 6PM EST.
EDIT: 421,422, and 441 are now available! Get them from the tracker and DDL links on the top of this page!

Detective Conan 421 [Kienai][2EA3BA75].mp4 :
Kaitoukidsama (Project Leader, Encoder, Editor and Karaoke for this episode) says: Had to encode this so many times. Just kept finding more and more things wrong. Started a new de-interlacing technique, had some troubles with field blending and what have you. It really paid off in a big way. Was a fun episode and the first episode that I edited.. so enjoy that ![]()
Jmaeshawn (Typesetter and Stylist for this episode) says: Having not read the manga, I was really excited to work on this episode. It was very challenging as a typesetter, being that the letter is the focus of the plot, and needed to be TS’ed at pretty much every point at which it came up. It was also the first time I used a kanji-removal type TS (you’ll know when you see it.) This was very different from my normal, and despite not liking it at first, it grew on me. By this point, however, I was kind of tired of TSing the same sign over and over, but made it through (with the help of my Mike N’ Ike stash.) XD
Zdm321(Quality Checker for this episode) says: Seemed like an interesting story, because we know very little about Agasa’s past. The story was interesting, and I enjoyed this episode overall. However, at the end of the episode, I could easily tell what was coming in part 2 (and I did not look forward to it).

Detective Conan 422 [Kienai][0A6B5B43].mp4 :
Kaitoukidsama (Project Leader, Encoder, and Karaoke for this episode) says: Only 1 RC this time. That was pretty awesome. The karaoke isn’t too incredibly awesome, but it sure does slow down the encoding process. I really have mixed feelings about the whole episode. First, that one scene that Zdm mentioned… is more traumatizing than the murders, imo. Would have ruined my day. I’m up for a nice romance story, but this one seems to include a lot of wasted time. I just can’t get over the little details… and I want to hurt Gosho for making such a weird story. [/rant]
Jmaeshawn (Typesetter and Stylist for this episode) says: This was my favorite episode out of these, mostly because it occurs mostly in nature, and had minimal signs, and the ones that were there could be copied straight from the previous episode. (Yay!) It also had a very nice ending that I think everyone will enjoy, and of which I hope Gosho Aoyama will follow up with in the future.
Zdm321(Quality Checker for this episode) says: As soon as the episode started, I wanted to stop QCing. The “dude looks like a lady” scene creeped me out. However, I really did enjoy this episode as a whole (minus that one scene) <_<.

Detective Conan 441 [Kienai][EEF44907].mp4 :
Kaitoukidsama (Project Leader and Encoder for this episode) says: Hooray! Not much work from me here! First episode done by a new editor. Did a really nice job. I must say, with no spoilers intended, that the climax of this episode is one of the most bizarre and retarded deductions ever. You really just have to feel sorry for the criminal at that poiint. You’ll see why when you get there ![]()
Jmaeshawn (Typesetter, Stylist and Karaoke for this episode) says: Not a lot to say about this episode. It’s a good episode overall, although it seemed to get pretty obvious towards the end. My working on the opening and ending karaoke was fun and challenging, since I needed to learn new techniques to get the effects I was after.
Zdm321(Qc’er for this episode) says
ecent episode in my opinion. The way the murder was performed was unique and brutal, but it was obvious who the killer was, how they did it, etc. The only thing that was not obvious was the motive, but the motive itself was very random.
HorizonX (Editor for this episode) says: A perfect example of anime filler done right. Cases like this are exactly why Conan is so popular. This is an interesting case with more than its fair share of comedic moments. Kogoro fans won’t be dissapointed! ;;^^

Ummm..I need help. I downloaded Movie 11 v2 but I can’t play it. I already tried to play it with Nero and Quicktime player. Do I need some codecs or other players to play Movie 11 v2?
