This release was a ONE SHOTTER! We ultimately had to have it out tonight… or you wouldn’t be seeing it for weeks. We ran a QC by our editor before encoding and everyone was on top of their game. I like encoding episodes once… it makes me happy, it really does. I wanted to play video games on my PC T_T
Also, you may notice a lack of funny in the screencap… that should be a huge hint >.> No butt humor in this one. Conan is SRS BIDNESS ^^. Back to the fact that we had to have this episode out. I, Kaitoukidsama, am moving to Salem, Oregon tomorrow afternoon… 3000 miles across the United States. This was a fun episode for everyone, I can assure you. Compared to how many times we needed to redo things on 427… I was kind of scared about 428. But we pulled through it! As far as I know… this will be the first and last time we decide to do a two release for a 2 parter. I wanted to tease everyone for a week. Seems everyone was anxious to see the rest of this case. Our next release will be one that we have never disclosed here before… so enjoy the suspense.

For those lingering on Jingo’s Hint: Yes… Atavus finally released 109… which Jing and I invested upon. DCTP is showing us up by releasing 5 episodes… *cries in a corner* So go and download those… you know you can’t resist.
Also, we have a Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch translator… so we are gonna start work on that IMMEDIATELY. We will be releasing bulk eps for the old eps. Yes! We are redoing those old tv-rips by Aeon-Flux/Lunar. They look like crap and just not what Kienai wants to have preceding it’s releases. This also gives you time to re-acquaint yourself with the show… or for those newcomers… time to enjoy the show in good quality. I myself will be styling, insert karaoke, editing, timing and encoding… so please be patient >.>; MrWiz88 is also helping out in a big way… so props.

You’ll notice that a lot of changes have been made to the site in the past few days. First off, I’d like to thank Kaitoukidsama, jmaeshawn, and especially MrWiz88 for the new site layout. MrWiz88 is a good friend of the staff, and will be joining us as soon as his Sensei lets him graduate. He has also generously donated his streaming Conan player, which can be found under the “DC Streaming” tab.
But enough about people who aren’t me. This episode was actually the first to be edited by myself… and also the most recent. I must have reworked it three times; not due to outstanding errors that I made (take it from me, the most reputable source on me: I’m good at what I do <3), but actually due to poor communication between some of the staff. 427 was an absolute nightmare to work on for all of us, but, despite the hardships, we’re extremely satisfied with the end result. Be damn sure you check out jmaeshawn’s OP karaoke, and thank him after you watch it for pleasuring your eyes. Keep checking back for 428 to be released; it shouldn’t be nearly as arduous for us as Part 1 was.
Before all that nonsense, back when I first got the script, it seemed like an odd episode to start with. It had an absolutely crazy story, and although I’ve done plenty of QC already for the Kienai gang, it was the first episode that had a previously unedited script that I’d gotten my hands on. And boy, did I get those hands dirty. I’ve come to love what I do here, and I hope to be sticking around for quite some time (I kinda get the feeling that Kaitoukidsama doesn’t like me correcting him so much, so who knows if I’ll be here tomorrow).

We’re considering having new episodes premiere on the new TV as well. If you support the idea, please leave a comment on this post.
Episode 427 will hopefully hit by mid-week. We are still looking for a tl’er to ensure that we will be able to continue to release high quality subs (any subs at all, really) after our current TL needs to take her leave. If you ever needed a reason to join… wait till 427 hits… that will be all the reason you need. I’d hate to spoil surprises, but… our editing has never looked better, typesetting has never looked better. Same goes for encoding and karaoke. So all in all… this is going to be one hell of a release.
First off, we are still working on 427-428… we’ve hit a slight snag but should shake it off soon. Also… we expect to lose our translator anytime from September to January… so we won’t be able to release anything after that if we don’t get a TL’er. Anyone with enough knowledge of Japanese to listen to and understand a conversation with a native is welcome. We are also looking far beyond Conan, as in what we’d like to do once we fill in the gaps. Our typesetter and I would like to see Mermaid Melody finished, and we all would like to see some High Quality Lupin III subs. But, in order to do this, we need Translators and we need to finish off Conan for good. I’m going to start a new page here that outlines the specifications of the job and necessary requirements.
Finally, we are curious as to what you think of our releases. Since we don’t have a forum, just add your comment to this post. Give us your most complete and honest feedback. We won’t hold anything against you… unless you are outright rude or ignorant. But then you will just be ignored.

Originally, we had planned to have more episodes to release today, but we had a lot of real-life things come up that set us back.
Anyway, here are Detective Conan episodes 325-327 ‘The Red Horse within the Flames’ for you!
As the typesetter, the thing I remember most about these episodes is one scene that had signs all over the screen, all moving and overlapping each other. It was a real pain, and caused a lot of problems for me, personally. XD
On a positive note, 327 took only one reencode, so I know Kaitoukidsama is happy about that. He also went the extra mile and made three different styles on the ending karaoke, one for each part of the case.
We would also like to officially welcome our new editor, Jing, to our staff. He is very skilled at what he does, and we are very glad to have him with us. Expect the quality of our releases to greatly increase with him onboard!
As far as future episodes go, work has already begun on our next set of releases. We hope to have these out very soon, so look forward to them!

So there… there HAVE been changes since the last update. April 13th 4pm EST is the date of our estimated release. After these eps we will no longer be holding onto these eps to release in bulk, as we will be up to speed with what is being translated.

Been a while since I’ve updated the B’z side of things… I’ve done several PV’s since last time : Easy Come, Easy Go!, Lady Navigation, love me, I love you, Kesshou and the other day: Konya Tsuki no Mieru Oka ni. Allow me to link to videos for some of them. As for the B’z karaoke project which began back in July of 2007… I plan to end it on the same day I started, 2 years later. After I have karaoked the remainding A-sides. So, expect a large flow of videos in the next few months. We still have Gold, Hadashi no Megami, Be There, Mienai Chikara, BURN, ZERO, Juice, Taiyou no Komachi Angel and Ai no Mama ni Wagamama ni Boku wa Kimi dake wo Kizutsukenai. So look forward to those and possibly a few more non-singles.
Some of you may be curious as to how we are faring with our next releases. Well, this post has entered into existence to answer those questions. Please note that we have taken a short break and will return in a few weeks. UPDATED (This Break ended and work has begun)
